Nils is following the bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Economics at Leiden University. The economic courses are given by the Erasmus University Rotterdam. He has chosen this study to apply the computer science skills in an economic environment.

He is mostly interested in the data science aspects of his study and therefore he is now doing his thesis about spatial subgroup discovery. He researches if finding subgroups that follow spatial thresholds can lead to more profound discoveries and interpretable explanations.
